Charlie Roer

Charlie’s management experience spans a wide range of industries, including financial services, software technology, printing and paper manufacturing. As a leader of nationwide sales teams, he has performed a key role in achieving exceptional revenue growth and profitability. He has a passion for making mutually beneficial connections between people and has worked in the executive search industry since 2004.

Before coming to Cardinal Mark, Charlie was Executive Vice President of Sales for Clark Consulting, Inc. He also served as Director of Major Accounts and East Region Sales for Noosh, Inc. and was Major Account Manager for RR Donnelley & Sons. He has extensive experience building and managing highly consultative, solutions focused sales organizations. Corporations have also counted on Charlie to provide strategic planning, merger and acquisition integration, and agreement negotiation. He holds a B.S. in Business Analysis from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University – Bloomington.

Charlie’s first placement came at age 15 when he helped a friend get a summer job in retail. That friend stayed with the company for over 30 years rising to lead three divisions with over $400M in revenues. Whether he knew it or not, the search bug bit him early.

Charlie, a transplanted Midwesterner, now calls the Piedmont of North Carolina home. Also married with four children (is this a trend?), Charlie is a dedicated runner, reader and all around fix-it guy.

Jim Zuehlke

Working in the technology, medical, and financial services industries since the early 1980s, Jim has gained a broad understanding of how technology integrates with marketing and sales, as well as first-hand experience in account, product, and technology management. He has conducted hundreds of searches for technology industry leaders like Cisco Systems, Check Point Software and many others.

Focusing on the executive search industry for more than two decades, Jim applies his knowledge and experience to developing the right solutions for companies and candidates. Prior to establishing Cardinal Board Services, he was Vice President for Brad Martin & Associates in Minneapolis. Jim received a B.A. in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration and Computer Science minor from Winona State University.

Jim’s claim to search fame was engaging with a nascent Cisco on one of their very first retained searches. His partnership with Cisco spans over 100 searches during which the company has grown from a few hundred million dollars in revenue to over $47B today.

Jim is located in Minnesota on the sunny shores of Lake Minnetonka. Married with four children Jim is passionate about family and is an avid runner and triathlete.

Sam Gondeck

Sam is a sales leader and MBA graduate with a robust background in software technology sales and management. His career includes key roles at leading SaaS companies, where he excelled in driving digital transformation and strategic account management. Sam’s achievements include significant contributions to revenue growth and client success, a testament to his commitment to providing lasting value for his customers.

At Cardinal Mark, Sam’s deep understanding of SaaS technology and his track record of exceeding targets will be invaluable in delivering high-potential candidates and faster/better results for clients. His experience in managing complex sales cycles and his dedication to client success align perfectly with our mission to provide targeted search and recruiting services.
